I'm not sure this is Porsche's fault. How can Kristine Rodas back up her claim that they were only going 55mph as apposed to 90mph?

Yea, I'm going to side with the Porsche engineers unless this woman has some actual proof.

It sucks that it happened but sometimes shite just happens. you can die in a crash going 30 mph if the right things happen.

I genuinely hope that the judge throws this out and then Porsche turns around and bankrupts her for her and her lawyers stupidity.

It is not for the weekend racer. No traction control or other aides of that sort. Not saying either of these guys couldn't drive but when a raw car gets away from you......

The only way to do it is with detailed accident reconstruction, like NASCAR did with Earnhardt's wreck.

It cost about $2M, but it got to the bottom of the incident. Engineers and experts worked on it, not police officers.

Wasn't the driver and owner a veteran racer?

Slightly off topic, but there is a video linked in that article showing some of Paul's car collection. He had some pretty cool stuff. First thing that caught my eye was the '93 Mustang Cobra R, as well as several Saleen fox bodies. Also some cool 8 series BMWs. Dude had my kind of taste in cars apparently.

If they are certified scene reconstruction experts it is possible. Those guys make bank for insurance companies after they put in their time. Not an easy certification to get.

I've driven a GT very slowly and it seemed like things could get out of hand very quickly, you can't see shite in it and the power comes on crazy like.

This might be too soon, but if they replaced him in the F&F movies with Vanderbeek, would anyone really notice?

More of a Pro-Am kind of guy, but yeah, he competed.

A lot of the skid marks shown in the original video weren't even from their car.

I am not saying Porsche is at fault. I thought it was odd that Rodas was going that fast (if he was) and that the car may have had a mechanical issue.
