Nigel Hall has been doing some great stuff in NO recently, esp with Jon Cleary. Dillon is very good, just not certain what group he is playing with at this gig. He just released an album with Singleton and Vidacovich which is very good.

Don't overlook King James on Fri. They play every Mon night (10pm) at BJ's. Really good old school, N.O. r&b/soul, and original tunes.

Hall was fantastic last night. For those who cannot make it, WWOZ will be broadcasting live from the fest today and tomorrow. Check out their website, wwoz.org, for times and bands they are broadcasting.
