I made some Jambalaya last night and I think I may have accidentally put some in there and now the whole thing tastes like perfume. The rice was in an unmarked bag so I am assuming it was jasmine based on the flavor.

Do y'all cook with it and how is it best used?

I love it. Mahatma makes a jasmine rice now that is legit. If you want real rice use Baker Farms popcorn rice. You can thank me later.

Never. My dad is a rice farmer and I grew up eating popcorn rice about five days a week. That's all I'll cook for myself now. If I substitute jasmine I find the difference in flavor to be extremely noticeable and not what I'm looking for.

I had mahatma jasmine before and it wasn't nearly as strong as this was. I'm gonna look for popcorn rice next time I'm at the store.

I prefer basmati over jasmine. I prefer texmati over basmati. I use it with red beans and gumbo and love it. I find it hard to go back to plain white rice.

I use popcorn rice all the time for jambalaya. It makes a big difference, in a positive way.
