With Jimbo coming out and saying he won't be taking any action against Jameis for his "offseason" blunder, it got me thinking...

If the NCAA doesn't step in, nor Jimbo change his tune, in turning their heads the other way isn't it essentially like setting a precedent in college football that it's better to steal something that's not yours, than to sell something that is?!?

Manziel gets caughts selling autographs- "You're suspended"

Winston gets caught stealing crabs- "no biggie, how bout we find you a personal chaperone too"

seems wrong, thoughts?

Cost of crab legs=\= value of JFF autographs

This was always the case.

I would say they are pretty similar and it is pretty black and white.

I get that... but I don't think the difference in value of the two objects holds any weight, for me the issue is

Johnny owns his autograph (unless he legally signed away his rights to his autograph the ncaa) and he is busted for selling it and suspended

Jameis does NOT own crablegs and gets caught stealing them... no biggie

IF he doesn't get suspended NCAA is a joke. Cant believe Jimbo would just let him off so easy

I hope you would know by now that American celebrities, not just sport stars, can get away with many things. Stealing crab legs is one of those things.

It's $32 of seafood. Run some stairs, that's good enough.

I think he was suspended for a baseball game. Or maybe I'm wrong, IDK.

The NCAA is screwed up. It would have been worse for Winston and FSU had someone actually bought those crab legs for him, it would have been considered an illegal benefit for an athlete. Instead, he STOLE them and he gets a slap on the wrist. NCAA is saying that someone going out and actually paying for something for Winston is worse than Winston just stealing it for himself.

One thing is certain, Winston is dumb as shite.

He paid a fine, did his service, and was suspended from the baseball team for a bit. If this stupid shite happened during football season i'm sure he would have missed a game.

He was suspended from baseball game(s)

Had this occurred during football season, I'd be willing to bet he'd miss a game, and you wouldn't be whining for him to be suspended from any baseball games.
