Where is everybody staying?
I know there was a similar thread a while back and I apologize for that, I couldn't find it.

Stay downtown at any of the hotels.

It is close to the light rail which get you all the way down to Reliant for only a dollar so you don't have to worry about drinking and driving. The light rail also stops in Midtown which is where all the bars are at.

If not a downtown hotel stay at either the medical district or near Rice University as those are nice areas of town and are also very close to the light rail.

Since you asked "anyone", I will say my apartment. But you can't come over. Your mom can as long as she brings her own van.

The America Best Value has rooms like $70/N less then mile from reliant. Anyone have idea if this place is doable?
Coming on a later flight Sat. so can catch Deep Purple @ HRC on the coast Fri. nite.
A purple drenched Labor Day Weekend will be!

Does the light rail stay open 24/7? I'd hate to have to find a cab after the game.
Thanks in advance.

Reliant (NRG) isn't in a desirable area of town, I wouldn't stay near it

Light rail doesn't run 24/7, but it will be running when you need it, i.e. after the game.

Everyone saying to stay downtown is right. I live downtown and use the light rail only when I need to get to and from Reliant. It's the easiest way to go.

The rail stays open long enough to clear out the stadium and get everyone back to downtown. If you get off at McGowen and walk to Midtown bars, you are only a 5 min cab ride away from any of the downtown hotels.

Yes, has been mentioned before, however, think I will have to chance it since coming on later flight (4:30) and time becomes limited where this looks like most convenient option. The google shows this area Main & 610 very busy and active which may be good.
Or would be other option to stay near Hobby and drive to Fannin St park/ride?
TIA
