(a) Regional and done;
(b) Super Regional and done;
(c) Omaha - two and through;
(d) Omaha - win a game or two and done;
(e) National Champs

Note: I am not asking what you think they are capable of doing...I am asking what you think they will do based on what we know currently.

I think we can take a regional in ULL which is where we likely go, but having to face a good team on the road in the supers will be to difficult.

I'm not convinced they get out of a regional...but I think your logic is correct relative to the Super...we are lacking a pitcher and about 4 bats.

I think you have them in the right order from most likely to least likely.

Id have to see the regional draw before answering. If we get paired with an easier 3 seed and can save Nola then ill say B. If Nola has to pitch the first game then id say A.

Probably will not get a home regional unless they go on a real hot streak and win the SEC tournament, and even then no chance for a home super without someone else pulling a big upset. So they have to win a regional on the road. Tough, as this has not been a very good road team. I say Nola wins his game, and they lose two others. So regional and out.

Baseball is a finicky sport and I am on the record as a Mainieri supporter, but this program does not feel like it is headed in a good direction...anyone else have that feeling?

We lose our best player/pitcher and otherwise don't have a lot to look forward to next season either.

(a)

Unfortunately, I think this team wins whatever game Nola starts at the regional, and that may very well be the last game LSU wins this year.

If we get to host a regional, we'll win it. We also have a shot if we would get sent to Lafayette for a regional. Anywhere else and I think we're done.

I agree...

We don't have enough fire power on offense and although I like our pitching and defense, I'm not confident that it'll be enough to say that will take us to to Omaha as we've had much more depth at pitching in the past with much better hitting. I think we're out in the Supers if not before then.

If we host and then play ULL for super I say we'll go to Omaha and then be done. Regional with ULL we'll win and be done in supers.
