Based purely on the squads our game with them should be like 5-4. Which of course means it will probably be 1-0

With the exception of Essien, who I imagine will play a rather static role this WC, that is a really athletic team. Hopefully we can be patient in possession, and let them run themselves out of position.

We should have success against their backline. Problem is that they should have success against our backline as well.

It may come down to better GK play and Timmy is better than Kwarasey.

Why is KP listed as a forward? Is that a mistake or did he actually make that shift?

We at least need one just for our group but I think we can hold off until each team has announced their final 23.

I think he "retired" from lower profile competitions.

Ghana seems to produces a proto type attacking mid that's fast, strong and athletic with solid dribbling skills and but not that tactically astute.

Asamoah has taken a big step forward after a move to winger in Juve's 3-5-2 but so many of their current younger players seem right on that borderline of being world class but haven't really put it all together.

Still, Andre Ayew, Boateng, Badu, Acquah et al are pretty unsettling in that they all have the ability to produce goals seemingly out of nowhere.

Yep. My concern is our central defense not closing down between 25 yards and the edge of the box. Howard is going to have to be on his game. I think we can manufacture more chances, but the prospect of a wonder goal is always there with Ghana.

Honestly, as poor as our defense looks at times, Ghana's defense looks really shaky.

Their starting backline is largely composed of rotational squad players for bad Ligue 1 teams or other squad players in mid-tier European leagues. Ghana's goalkeeper is mediocre on his best days. Any incisive passing on the counter or if Bradley and whoever partners with him can string together some possession, should be able to set up quality chances for our forwards.

We will have to finish, but I agree. We will create chances.

Shaky? How so? Ghana only gave up one goal in 6 matches during the Africa Nations tournament.

They gave up one goal in a loss to Montenegro (0-1) in their first 2014 friendly.

They play the Netherlands and South Korea before World Cup play

Only scored 4 goals in those games as well. Were they parking the bus the whole time?
