On the lake this time a year?
Been using topwater jerk baits with a little success , need something better

that looks like a spotted bass not a small mouth to me.
I always used tube baits. I really wish we had small my up here very fun fish to catch

That's a largemouth, I'm pretty sure. And throw a popper or spook type waking bait instead of a jerkbait. Also try weightless finesse worms or flukes.

Pretty much any lake in the south has smallmouth I would think

first off,
hoist- 6.5, you need to hoist it closer to the camera to make the fish look bigger and not be a limp wrister
fish- 8
pic of feet- 4 because of orange crocs
jacket- 9, i fricking love that jacket as a spring/fall rain jacket
as for bait, they only real thing i have been having success with is pink, chartreuse and orange worms/grubs
i gotta have a red daiichi true turn hook with at least a 8 inch leader

Thanks for the fashion critic? Everytime I've been out fishing the wind has been crazy , has been difficult glad I got those pole anchor deals for my boat

There are no smallmouths in La that I'm aware of.
