Average but good enough to beat LSU's offense. Need more great pitching

Ronnie Rantz said he's their best pitcher. However, whoever is pitching looks great against our hitters. So, it really doesn't matter.

Lately Turnbull has been our worst starter, been walking way too many people. Today was much better though. Turnbull is easily our most talented starter, but Kamplain has been more consistent of late. Keller, our Sunday starter, has been tremendous but he's TBA to throw tomorrow with a sore arm.

Thanks mac, I know there's a thread for the guys stats but I just wanted a quick scoop for recent outings

No problem. I had zero expectations of beating Nola, but I was encouraged by Turnbull today. He'd been so wild lately. At least today was a sign he could get back to ace-quality for the postseason. Moral victories

"Saturday 2nd game will once again be a southpaw showdown, this time between Bama’s Justin Kamplain and LSU’s Jared Poché. Kamplain is a 6-foot junior from Alabama making his 48th career appearance on the mound for the Tide. Justin has already surpassed career highs in innings pitched and pitches thrown for a season, but continues to be effective to this point. Going against conventional statistics for a southpaw, left-handed batters (.299) hit significantly higher than those from the right side (.177) against Kamplain. Justin throws an upper 80s-90mph fastball in addition to a curve and changeup."
