I was really hoping they'd take Desir if he was still there. Any thoughts as to why they had Jean-Babtiste higher?

Because no one wanted to hear Chris Berman say "The Saints are riding A Streetcar Named Desir!!!" during every highlight show

He might be there in the 4th. Kid has talent and potential but very unproven.

We didn't think SJB would be there. He was a late 1st/early 2nd guy. Played against better competition. And like someone said, very high ceiling.

He fell to us and we jumped all over it.

Yeah pretty much. I had Desir and Martin as my most likely picks because I really didn't see Baptiste falling to us. Had he been gone I think it would have been a tougher decision between Martin and Desir and I think Martin would have won out.

Those are good points.

Yes, I watched Draft Academy, and it made me really like the dude (Desir)

Actually, that's where Deron Parquet wound up when he left LSU and Memphis.

They get occasional decent talent at Lindenwood. Lived near STL briefly. They take a lot of decent kids with "issues."

I liked Desir too, but I think all the rankings I saw had SJB rated higher. I really thought SJB would be gone before it got around to our pick.

SJB was getting Richard Sherman comps... Hard to knock that logic
