People keep comparing SJB to Richard Sherman. I think Brandon Browner might be the better comparison.
That and I wanted to let everyone know he ran a 4.45 40 on his pro day.

Good post. Was doing the same thing in the other thread for those ready to already label him as too slow from his first combine time.

Strengths: Excellent height and length for the position. Strong initial jam to reroute receivers in press coverage. Often asked to play off-man principles, as well showing the patience to allow receivers to get near him before beginning his turning motion. Breaks quickly on short route. Uses his long arms and strong hands to get to the ball. Good eye-hand coordination and leaping ability. Can rip free from blockers when he extends his arms. Surprisingly fluid hips for his size. Capable of changing direction to maintain tight coverage. Good ball skills to extend and pluck the ball outside of his frame.
Weaknesses: Not nearly as physical as his size suggests, especially when tackling. Frequently relies on ducking his head and swiping at receivers' legs. Could be viewed by some as a safety convert but hasn't played the position before and will need to develop more physicality and reliability as an open field tackler. Fluid changing direction but very susceptible to double moves. Doesnt possess ideal initial burst and only has speed running in a straight line.

Haven't seen him play too much. Is he physical? I want some attitude.

Mel Kiper said he wasn't very physical. And most of the things I'm reading say he needs to be more physical.
However, I've never really seen him play, so I can't say first hand.

He's got Champ, Keenan and Ryan to make him tough. That will happen

Hopefully Ryan enlists KV to toughen SJB up or we're looking at the Jonathan Martin of our secondary.

I liked mcgill more but like this pick. Very good balance especially at his size, locates the ball. Got the skillz fa sho.Great start to the draft.

Dunno about his physicality but there were a lot of gnarly hits in his highlight reel. FWIW

I just watched his highlights from the op in the stickied thread and he body slammed a few people during his career. I know they didn't show negative plays but he didn't seem shy to contact

He won't have to rush to get a lot of snaps at first with White, Champ, and Prob still on our defense.
He'll be a great 3rd down CB that can make plays when needed, but he won't be that surefire tackler off the bat against running backs early on imo

Honestly I'm hoping one of those guys break out. Maybe this kid will do alright, but he hasn't looked as ready as some of the earlier corners in the draft. I trust the coaching staff, but it still seems like they should have had the opposite approach. CB then WR.

I am sure him learning from Lewis and KV will help him get more physical.
