Been seeing lots of this in the OT lately. All of this is about men trying to understand how to deal with the modern American woman. Is this "belief system" going mainstream with American men now? I have my flame suit on so I expect a lot of hostility, but it's something I have noticed more men talking about in the last year or so. Thoughts?

I think it's for guys that don't know how to talk to people, and just makes it worse.

Only a beta would ask such questions.

Good job starting another alpha beta thread

I chuckled.

I think it's pretty simple. Any man that cares enough about another man's way of life (cologne, cargo shorts, hats, etc.) enough to start a thread about it has issues. Yeah I realize we're discussing it in this thread, but there are some seriously judgemental guys that post in those threads, and it's a really strange sight.

Nothing has changed in the last 200 years.
Women still want men to lead, be confident, and be the head of the household. You can watch all that candy-assed Dr. Phil stuff or you can man up.
Forget all the buzzwords. They aren't going to help.

Red pill, in my understanding, is the metaphor proposed to Neo in the matrix. You can take the blue pill and live in the dream world, or you can swallow the red pill and see reality for what it is.
As far as the mating game goes, the blue pill represents the notion that society has told you that you will meet one girl, she will let you have sex with her and you damn better be thankful for it. In return, you will spend $$ on a diamond ring and expensive wedding just to make all her friends jealous. As seen all too often, a lot of women will then spend all your money, file for divorce and take all half your stuff. ("bitches be crazy")
Swallowing the red pill lets you realize that you don't actually have to do that. You don't have to put up with a girl's shite just to get the secks. You don't actually have to spend loads of cash on fancy dates, even though they want you to and think they are "worth it". You do your own thing, focus on you, and women will naturally be attracted to you.
The red pill, as far as the subreddit is concerned, doesn't necessarily put down the idea of marriage, but a lot of guys there are against it. I agree with some things they say, but I think what the subreddit tends to lean toward is almost an extremism like feminism, but for men. I.e. they act like all women are terrible, or should be submissive. I feel like there's some contradiction there too.

I believe it's when you realize that everything you have been told and taught about women was a lie and you start to see them as they are, and not what you were told by others they are. I could be wrong on this but that is my understanding.

That's a lot deeper than what I was expecting.

TheIndulger said it much better than I did. Thanks.

It is sad that this:
Is not taught to every man by his father.

You seem to have the general idea, as far as my understanding goes

Fathers are optional in this country. Single motherhood is rewarded. Mothers raise their sons. And then we have a mess. JMO.
