Eagles 5th and our future 3rd should work.

Why does it matter that much?
We have a 4th and two 5th's. 3rd is not that important bro.

IMO this draft is super deep through 3 rounds. I think instant impact can be had in the 3rd.

Both of those are a little steep. It would likely be next year's 2nd, this year's 4th and both 5ths, or maybe this year's and next year's 4ths.

Also depends on what they do with the 2nd, but Loomi$ and company have been GREAT in late rounds recently. We've had 5 pro bowlers in rounds 4 and 5 under him. Should be 6 pro bowlers and one from rd 7, but Colston was robbed.

Last year we used 2 4ths to move into the 3rd. I haven't seen a value chart for future picks, but next year's 3rd should equal about this year's 4th, so that along with this year's 4th should get it done.

Future picks are downgraded a round by most teams, so next year's 2nd would equal this year's 3rd, roughly. It depends on where we are talking about in the 3rd though.
But yes, next year's 3rd and this year's 4th would be close. Likely would have to add another 5th or so.
Depends on the spot and the team we are trading with and how their board looks.
Edit:
Confused myself. That second part was about getting back into the low second or high third.
There's a big difference between high 3rd, mid third, and late third. Too many numbers in my head.
So going back to the OP's title, that would probably put us in the mid 3rd.
The 2nd rounder next year or what I put in the second sentence would be high 3rd.
I'm getting burned out think about all these trade scenarios though.

I think so...if you can find the right partner and the pick was in the latter half of the 3rd.

Sorry about that, that was a typo. I meant next year's 3rd should equal this year's 4th.

That could be what confused me too.
I'll admit I'm not seeing straight right now on these numbers. Should be more accurate after the edit though.

Same here. Last year we were picking 12 spots higher, so maybe that isn't a great example, unless we're taking about getting into the end of the 3rd this year.

Well first of all there has to be two close to even picks to cancel each other and another remaining pick from the team trying to move up to split the difference. You seldomly see teams just swapping picks evenly...there is always that kicker....
So lets say the Saints wanted to get back into the middle of round 3...those picks are worth between 170 and 190 PTS... The matching pick would most likely be this years 4th at (126) which is worth 43pts...thats a difference of 127 to 147 pts....that would take a combination of the 4th and maybe the two 5th's...possibly even more but it doesnt quite get them there but I dont see a team turning it down ...three picks for one

Right there is a huge value gap talking about the beginning or end or the 3rd.
The value doesn't start getting tight through a round until the 4th, and then not really tight until the 5th.
The 5th-7th rounds are when teams stop looking so much at positions and start trying to just find the guys they like.
So there's a huge variable here when you just say 3rd round.

When Loomis/Payton traded up in the middle rounds in the past to get a guy on their board they were hard-up for, they got Antonio Pittman and Matt Tennant.
I don't think they need to trade back up. They do better with 5-7 and UDFAs anyway.

do you have any pie charts that can dictate this?

I think a 4 and a 5 this year gets us back in
