You guys don't understand how it works.

The climate is warming. The signs are everywhere. These cold temperatures we are seeing are extremes, they aren't the norms.

And while it may be true that for the past decade and a half temperatures have leveled off, you can't discount the fact that too is not the norm because temperatures usually rise or fall; thus proving once again that the climate is changing and eventually we all will be doomed to living in a 24/7 sauna.

Book it

it does seem like there's been a lot of unseasonable cold around the US

be careful about over-interpreting that though

To have statements like "2014 on pace to be coldest year in recorded history" when it is only May is kind of ridiculous.

There is a southern hemisphere too. Summer here, winter in South America, Australia, etc. While we were have our cold winter, why did not the southern hemisphere offset our cooler temperatures?

You do understand the 'pace' part of the OP right? In the olympics as athletes pass certain check points, their pace is viewed in relation to previous benchmarks to see where they compare.

And we are getting close to being at the mid point of the year??

Bunch of deniers up in here....

You guys probably think the sky isn't falling too.

Was it the rebranding that tipped you off or the political push for a cap and trade scheme for a naturally occurring gas?

You're right. Then a chart of temperature for the US really means very little for the globe, which climate disruption is apparently concerned with.

but if this is true, why would "climate disruption" laws in the US have any effect?
