Yea, he really holds the Cincy Bengals offense back, IMO.

That offense could be one of the best in the NFL with BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Gio Bennard, Orson Charles, AJ Green, Tyler Eifert, Jermaine Gresham, Mohamad Sanu, and the rest of the crew.

Wow that would be an awful trade for the Texans. They shouldn't give up more than a 3 for Mallet. I do think the Texans have two 3's, no? That may work.

I agree that would be an awful trade, but quarterback is too valuable of a position. A minimum of a second round pick would probably be given up for a potential starter even if that guy is completely unproven.

News guy from New England on 610 right now. Seems to think Pats wouldn't mind trading for a 5th or 6th round pick, because he only has one year left on contract, and feel he will be gone after that year no matter what, so might as well get something for him.

You mean like Mallet? That guy seemed to work out decently.

I would be pissed if they gave up a 2,4 and future 4
that is a complete shite bag pipe dream. esp when our only 2 is the 33rd overall

but they'll have to give up more than one 3.
well, NE used a 3 on him, but if they dont move him now, theyll lose him for nothing in FA. a 3rd would be recouping a previous investment...

I still think it would take at least a 3 or 4 and perhaps another future pick on top of that or late round pick this year

He's only got one year left on his contract. Good trade if the Texans give up only one 5th round pick.

I think you guys are crazy. I think Mallet could be had for at most a 3. No way would anyone pay more than that for him.

Anyone that thinks the Pats are drafting a QB in the first or 2nd round mustve been dropped one too many times as a child

Pats will get a 3-5th round QB to develop

ETA and i think the Pats would take a 4th and a conditional pick next year.

Great trade if it happens. BOB knows Mallet better than any of us, and should get him for a reasonable deal.

The Boston Globe's Ben Volin suspects the Patriots will net a middle-round pick in the potential Ryan Mallett-to-Houston trade. Multiple reporters have since confirmed CSN New England's story, that the Pats and Texans are indeed discussing a Mallett deal. Volin believes a Mallett trade would not stop Houston from drafting an early-round signal caller, and it would also put New England in the market for a backup quarterback. There are whispers the Patriots are eyeing Mike Glennon in a trade with Tampa Bay.

Makes sense on the Pats side. They get a player who has started and showed promise, and get to get draft picks for a player they would have let walk.
