How Amaro hasn't been fired is a joke. We have the oldest team and baseball and this squad SUCKS. Absolutely sucks and I'm fricking pissed off. Ryan Howard should be a fricking scratch player on the Astros..

Amaro freaked out after the NLCS loss to the Giants and stockpiled arms. He then neglected the aging offense and dished out horrendous contracts. Should've started blowing the team up last year but he was too delusional. Unless some miracle comes around and a team buys up all these bad contracts like the Dodgers saved the Red Sox from a few years ago they're really doomed. I don't see them competing for the NL East for at least 5 years at the earliest.
It was a really fun run while it lasted especially how horrible the team was for my lifetime up until that point. The 2007 miracle comeback to win the East (thanks Mets!) was awesome. The 2008 WS run and Hamels establishing himself was better. 2009 and that offensive output was awesome to watch, still can't get over Lidge choking away that WS. 2011 still stings almost as much as 1/9 for me. One of the best teams in the recent era who imploded at the end of the season. Should've waltzed through the Cards series but they choked it away, still angry about it almost 3 years later.
