The Memphis Grizzlies only have one year left with him if he agrees to his 16.5 million player option. If he declined I think he would be a great fit for the Pelicans.

The teams with the top cap room next season
1. Pelicans (47 million)
2. Celtics (46 million)
3. Wizards (45 million)
4. Bobcats (44 million)
5. Pistons (41 million)
LINK

Randolph might not decline it because he can't get a $16.5 million contract anywhere else. However he is unhappy over being trade bait this season. A sign and trade may be possible if we send Gordon because they need a shooter who can get to the basket like Gordon can't and it's actually a cheaper contract than Randolph's current one.

We should definitely sign him if we get the chance. I don't think Anderson would mind being a sixth man in this senecio.

We could also go after Chris Bosh, Marc Gortat, or try to trade for a draft pick to get a center.

Our starting line up would be good but I would rather them bolster the bench.

No he isn't.

quote:

As for his own future, Randolph has never been a free agent in his career and plans to talk with his agent in a couple days. He also wants to talk to the Grizzlies.

"This is where I want to be at," Randolph said. "This is home for me. My kids go to school here. I bought a house, so Memphis is home. I'm not 21. I'm 32. I'm still in my prime the way I play."

There are a few other quotes I saw this week that I can't find now, but from what he's saying, if Memphis is willing to pay him, Memphis is where he wants to be.

Chris Bosh,

Only way he leaves MIA is to go play in Dallas. I actually think there is a really HIGH chance he goes to Dallas. He will be the star out of the mix with an aging dirk. He's looking to be "the guy"...

Heat dont 3 peat Bosh is chilling in his hometown with Cuban the week after. BOOK IT

That's a completely cockamamie figure. Until we move Gordon we don't have much room to operate. If you cut everyone but the Finishing 5 and Rivers you have $55.6 million in salary and roster holds.

Yeah, I don't think that figure in the OP is correct.

Is he? I think as long as Lebron is in Miami he will stay there. Also, can't he make more money staying in Miami?

For the time being, I agree. But I just don't think he leaves while LBJ is in Miami.

Good player, but how many years does he have left? I'd think he would be on the decline when Jrue and Davis are reaching thier prime.

No thanks, I'd rather build around the guys we have now(except for Gordon) and add solid role players at the 3 and 5.

If the heat lose it is highly rumored the big 3 will break up. Wade is tied down bigtime, he's not going anywheres....LeBron would probably stay, and there wont be anymore room for Bosh with the new money rules...

Bosh ends up in Dallas

IF the Heat lose, if they 3 peat then it stays in tact and the owner takes penalty or w/e he will receive for keeping his team together under the new money rules

I didn't realize that but if he can't get the contract he wants he may be on his way. And Marc Gortat is going to free agency or staying. He could be a serviceable starter/6th man but I doubt he would go for reduced minutes.

If Washington beats Indy there will probably be a lot of pressure to not lose Ariza and Gortat. I think with the success they've had already there's still a lot of pressure. The Wizards have plenty of cap space considering they don't need to target any starters in FA.
