Can anyone recommend places to stay (B&B type places). I've stayed at Westin, Casa Marina, and The Reach but looking for something different towards the action end of Duval. Every time I go i notice these B&Bs but never write them down or check them out.

Also, wanted to mention that the direct flight between NO and Key West on Southwest is ending on 6/7 for some reason...

TIA

The word is that the Key West Airport administration dissed SWA in some manner. This is allegedly retribution. Also, the dead of Summer activity between MSY - EYW is exactly that: dead.

Wife and I went twice last summer and both times the flights were full. I guess since it gets Cuba-hot there it's not a popular place to go (unless you're from Louisiana)

I lived there a few summers ago and it rarely got above 90 (mostly highs stayed 85-88) so it really isn't that hot during the summer. It's cooler than Louisiana

I worked at a place that we had a bunch of guest from the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa. They all loved it and most of them have been staying there every year for years. Also the Galleon Resort is a nice place on the "action" end.

As far as Bed & Breakfast the best ones were in old town. Alexander's Guest House or Key West Bed & Breakfast

Unless you've been there during Halloween, there isn't a big gay presence

Very true. Going to New Orleans you will see 10x more gay people than you will in Key West. Also the gay community pretty much stays in one area, and one or two blocks of duval.

I stayed at the Simonton Court and liked it.

They have a bunch of pools, where you have a basically private pool, or share it with maybe one other suite.

Last time we stayed at the Pearl which traditionally is a lesbian run operation. We had a great time but I get along with lesbians way better than I do with gay guys.

You have to be more specific as to the "action".
