I won't be able to afford a boat this year, but am hoping to get one by next spring.

I want a center console boat for sure, thinking probably a bay boat but was wondering if yall know of anyhting that is kind of a bay boat/deeper V mix...

Also, what is yalls ideal boat in the 22-30 ish foot range?

Dont know a ton about these types of boats, had bass boats my whole life, just trying to expand my knowledge on these.

eta: was checking out a Cape Horn earlier called a Cape Bay 23, pretty badass looking

can you add a t-top, or whatever the little top is called over the console, or do you have to buy one already with it?

My personal recommendation is Bluewave or Pathfinder. Call Mt. Houston Marine in Houston TX and ask for Danny. Great customer service.

ETA: agree with Bourg on seahunt

You can have one made if it doesn't have one, but you can also get one with it on it already.

Don't put it on smaller than a 24' IMO

I don't really see the point of them if you're not going offshore but to each his own

These are solid recommendations. All of these are excellent boats with good value. There are plenty good boats out there but some you will be paying more just for the name on the side of the boat.

I would say the Sea Hunt sounds like it would be what your are looking for if you are looking for the deeper V style. They also offer some nice priced center consoles that are deeper than bay boats that are priced very reasonably.
