custom crawfish boiler

I seen many of these at the downtown crawfish festival last weekend. Where can I find someone who makes these in Baton Rouge and what is the average cost? Has anyone used this and do you recommend it over a traditional burner?

Those are nice, but they take up a lot of room to store. I'm running out of space from crap I rarely use.

The quiet part is nice, hate the burner while trying to listen to baseball.

Last I heard, Venable's was not selling those any more. Hughes in Jennings may still make them.

Guy out of Georgia builds these. My colleague bought one this year and we did 50 lbs of shrimp in the first outing. Really nice design and got going pretty quick. LINK

I have owned and used that large model Blue Bug Boiler for the last 4 years and love it. Water boils quickly and remains boiling. Spigot makes draining and clean-up a breeze. The deep boiling basket is easily removable. They sell a shallower, flat bottomed strainer that allows you to steam crabs.

Hughes in Jennings makes good ones but they aren't cheap

Anything that isn't crap from academy, Walmart, SAMs, etc is going to be high

I just want one of those bc I can open a valve and the water goes through a hose axactly where I want it. Nothing worse than having to lug a big crawfish pot to the storm drain and splashing it all over yourself.

Having a canal along the yard is clutch for this

Just put a valve on your pot.

Why not have a valve added to the pot? Let the water cool, attach a hose to the valve and drain...
