Really like this kid from Flst as a mid to late round pick. Versatile, can cover and rush the passer. I think he could be a player and fit well in our system. Thoughts?

Can someone explain what this means, because it seems that they are constantly inventing ways to say the same thing.

Plays high. Doesn't get good leverage on blockers.

gimme telvin smith his teammate in the 2nd/3rd instead

Hes listed as an OLB, but for a 4-3 which would fit us nicely

If people are worried about Shazier's size at 237, then they should be extremely concerned with T. Smith at 218.

I never said anything about shaziers size just that he's not very good haha.
Agreed he is undersized but he has great instincts and was a leader on that D. Also he's not projected to be a 1st rounder like shazier.

Didn't mean you specifically, but people have knocked him for being too light,

Honestly though, a sub 220 LB is an extremely risky proposition. There are guys that stretch what is possible for their size, but I don't think he is one of them.

IF Mosley doesn't drop to us, I would LOVE to see us pickup Jones.

He is a guy who's still raw in his reads and steps but has all the tools. Also, for a LB, the dude can flatout run in coverage.

I've seen him carry Sammy Waktins through the deep middle on a seam route in between Cover 2. He won't play from day one, but with a year in our system behind our DL he could be a REALLY good player.

That's his rating not his 40. His 40 is 4.74.

I really hate that guys that almost exclusively rush the passer are called LBs, especially if they have their hand in the ground. It gives the impression that they can actually cover.

Just label them DEs and be done with it. It's a lot easier than having to ask if they're just pass rushing OLBs and it'll get rid of the misconception that all 3-4 OLBs are pass rushers. That or just start calling them elephants or jacks or whatever.
