I was hit by a car while riding a 4 wheeler and tore most of my right leg off. I was in the hospital for over a month. They put my leg back together and eventually I learned to walk again.

ETA

“The Cambridge Introduction to William Faulkner” quotes him as saying, “I believe that man will not only endure: he will prevail."

OTers you have heartfelt sympathies and prayers. Thank you for sharing and may God grant you continued strength and courage.

Well damn..

For me..

I drank a fifth of vodka and took some Valium and passed out on the ground, hit the ground so hard I needed staples in the back of my head. Woke up the next day with no memory of it at all.

I can't talk about it but it's the worst pain I've ever been through

physically, I got in a wreck and had stitches in my face. I was afraid I'd be ugly

Oh and watching a 13 year old boy die of cancer for a year
