Yeah, the first one is one of my favorite movies. Toothless is badass and the score was amazing. Looking forward to seeing what John Powell came up with for the OST this time.

One thing that I realized after multiple viewings is that Hiccup's dad is a complete douchebag.
Blames his sone for all of the village's problems.
Never defends him.
Never listens to him.
Completely disowns him when he tries to save them.
Then takes him back after he saves his viking arse.

Yeah, but he does make a pretty big step by throwing away centuries of tradition and hatred by allowing the dragons to move in at the end. So yeah, he was a douche but at least he was really sorry about it at the end and did what he could to make up for it.

Honestly, yeah he is. It should have been an incredibly obvious advantage to be able to train the dragons to their own bidding, in the very least to fight against other dragons, nevertheless what that would mean as far as combatting rival tribes. I was a bit frustrated at Hiccup as soon as he taught Toothless to fly with him on his back that he didn't share it with everyone else, but I guess since he knew his dad really well and he wouldn't listen to basic reasoning, he knew it was fruitless. Still, should have shown some of the kids his age earlier, as well as Craig Ferguson.
