Seeing the seat belt thread got me thinking: what's the dumbest thing you have been issued a ticket for?

edit: reworded my post

Out of those three, #3.

#1 saves lives and saves money on insurance rates, health care, you name it.

#2 is a big safety thing.

Why would you even possibly think 1 and 2 dumbest?

One that's bullshite is getting in the left turn lane too early by the markings of the paint, but sometimes, the line for the lane is backed up past that point. So, you're supposed to just go up to the entry point and stop a moving lane of traffic until it's clear?

I think y'all are misunderstanding me. I meant that these are stupid things one could be doing while driving.

Yea, you may want to work on your wording

In high school I got pulled over because my exhaust was too loud, half way through the stop 5-6 motorcycles come by, with typical look at me pipes that were much louder than mine. Jackass just kept on writing.

Also window tint tickets.

DUI

I consider a DUI much more serious than just a ticket. You fricking belong in jail for a minimum of one week if you get a DUI in my opinion.

Well that's a ridiculous opinion. Do you know how little you need to drink to get a DUI?

Apparently it's extremely little. That's the point of the law. If the law was otherwise, it would be like saying, "Yea, you can drink and drive but make sure it's not too much".

I don't drive if I even have one single drink. Too much is at risk. If I can have that much restraint, everyone can. It's not a hard thing to do to make sure you have someone else that can drive you if you decide to drink. As easily as one decides to drink while out before ensuring a safe ride home, one could instead decide to ensure a safe ride home before drinking. It's not fricking rocket science.

That still doesn't change the fact that you think someone should go to jail for a week for drinking as little as two beers.

Following another car too closely. I think he was just fishing for DWI's though.

Texting while driving

I wrecked into this smoking arse chick while I was writing an email one day. Used to not do it at all when driving, but needed to get it out and was at a redlight. People in front took off, but then came to a quick stop. I took off, but didn't. Girl was pretty cute, had an ankle tat and a back shoulder tat, so I know she was DTF, but it was her grandpas car. Old man came up and started chewing me out and then her out(it was his car). Told her to go sit in the car and I couldn't ever ask her if she wanted to do the horizontal limbo

Anyway, that's my story about emailing and driving. I will read texts now, but not emails, and won't respond to either
