When we can't score but 10 runs during an entire weekend series?

Agreed. Today the pitching was not amazing or anything, but four runs should not be insurmountable.

Because we have been spoiled over the past few years with top flight 1, 2 & even 3 legitimate starting pitchers. Right now we have only one "Nola" and it shows. Pitching by committee is not optimal because it puts a lot of pressure on the entire pitching staff.

We are just used to seeing something that isn't there currently, it is that simple and is the reason.

Well, TAMU only scored 11. And the hitters didn't give up 4 runs in the 9th to go to extras on Friday. Or a go ahead HR in the 8th today.

Just let it go. These are the shiny stats everybody not actually watching likes to point out

Because our bullpen has been sub par the past few weekends. No one is saying the hitters did well either.

Don't they get all the credit when the team wins?

Isn't baseball the one sport in which one player (pitches) are actually, literally, assigned a win or loss?

Well Nola does and when Broussard can save one for us he does as well but short of that they seldom do.

No they didn't, but if we could just get a runner in from 3rd with less then 2 out more often then we see the haley's commet it would really help out in close games which it seems that most of ours are

Yea he gets a check in the win/loss column, but to say "all the credit" is just fricking dumb.

It's a pitching stat

Broussard threw like straight arse and let them tie the game Friday but still got the "W" after Nola threw a gem...

Stop being an idiot

People like you are why everybody looks down on tRant. It's because you try to act like you know what you're talking about, while it's painfully obvious that you don't

You're right. The pitching rarely gets any credit around here.

Well, the question was "why do the pitchers get blamed," and that's why. Whether it tells the whole story or not is a moot point.

At this time in the season, the fans, and team, know that the offense isn't going to put up a lot of runs. It unfortunately falls the the pitchers then to keep the other team off the board.

The pitching becomes more obvious when they allow a team to come back from a deficit, or give up the winning run late.
