I'll get bashed for this, but I think we will struggle more in a regional than a Super Regional, simply due to the fact that we would have to win three games instead of two.

If we lose one of the first two games of a regional...yikes. May as well just pack it up there.

Explain to me how we get three wins.

Geaux!

Winning the first two will be.

Sunday will be tougher. But no one is going to win those two against LSU.

Then on the road for a series at ULL. We'll see how that goes.

Assuming we host a regional, we can start Cody Glenn against SWAC/MEAC champ and still win by 12. Nola goes game 2 and then you're in the drivers seat.

This is a super regional team, but there is just a 10-15% chance this team makes it Omaha.

Hopefully by hosting against a shitty four seed where we can throw someone like bouman.
Then nola can win game 2. Then hopefullt poche/cartwright can pull out another win.

Seriously, though.

I see this team possibly getting to Omaha, I'm just trying to figure out how we get out of a regional.

Start Poche game one. Win.
Nola game two. Win

?? Game 3? God forbid we lose, what happens in game 4?

Lose game one or two, it's over.

This is assuming we hit also.

I'm not confident putting Glenn against a Tball team right now.

I have almost no doubt we'll be bounced by a 2 seed in the regional.

Hitting is struggling just as much as pitching. However, there is plenty of baseball left to play. We will have at least one pitcher step up and we will be more aggressive at the plate. Do not give up on this team.

let's be honest. LSU will never get a team capable of winning a regional as the 4 seed... too much money to be made

it doesn't necessarily have to be SWAC or MEAC, but they could play LSU 100 times on that Friday afternoon and win like 3 times

Huh?

An SEC team will never ever be a 4 seed in a regional.

yall aren't reading it right... of course we're never gonna be a 4 seed...

but when LSU hosts a regional (and we will), the 4 seed will never be someone like Stony Brook or that Fresno St. team

You know, we keep talking about the pitching in a regional or super, but the bats concern me much more. The staff may not be as talented as lots of others we've had, but they gave up just 12 runs over the weekend and we still lost two of three. The way we're hitting, the pitching staff isn't the biggest concern for me.
