On my 35 minute commute to work this morning, I was listening to NBC Sports Radio. When I arrived I still did not know who won the Mayweather vs Maidana fight, any of the late NBA Playoff game results, or hear who won the Kentucky Derby. All the discussion was about Donald Sterling and his hooker.

I assume he does since he's posting, but his point is that sports talk radio has turned into TMZ instead of actual sports talk.

I agree, it's maddening to me. I think most folks plugged into the national sports scene knew what an a-hole Sterling was years ago.

What's the old song line? "Watergate does not bother me...does your conscience bother you"?

Well, mine doesn't bother me on this stuff. The channel gets changed every time they start this topic.

+1

It's not like there isn't enough going on in the sports world this week. 3 game 7's, Kentucky Derby, NFL draft, etc.

I haven't even glanced at ESPN in over a week because of their TMZing.
MLB network, NBAtv, FS1, and NBC Sports are the only sports related channels I have watched since the Sterling B.S. Those are the only ones I regularly watch along with CBS sports and NFL network.

I've been listening to actual music in the car Someone let me know when this story blows over. I simply can't bring myself to give a shite that some old dude doesn't want the whore he bought with money to hang with people he doesn't like.

This. Everybody already knows the scores from the internet, so radio has to try to stay relevant by talking about off the field stuff. Bascially it's a dying genre, like all talk radio.

I see what you're saying, but you don't want them reading scores the whole time right?
