Underrated horror movies..

Watched a couple of The Final Destination movies recently. These movies are kinda overlooked but they have an incredibly effective and disturbing feel to them. It's almost as if it's a storyline Hollywood movie version of The Faces of Death series. The FOD series was practically banned because it was just too disturbing and too real. The Final Destination movies are clearly made up but the ways the characters die in the movies are believable despite being believable.
Name some horror/thriller movies that you think are really good despite not getting all the box office hype.

Ravenous
It's always my answer for underrated films or underrated horror films. A crazy good cast including Guy Pearce and Robert Carlisle. A unique premise set in a unique time period. Well put together with a fantastic main theme. And just a fun movie.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare may be the best Nightmare on Elm Street movie.
Below. Submarine film, solid cast, very spooky. One of my all time favorite scare scenes, one similar in effectiveness to Exorcist III.

House of the devil
spoilers
Normally i am not the black guy in the theater screaming out what the protagonist should or what i would do. During that shitshow, I would have grabbed that shot gun and blasted them. Just because you shot your boy doesn't mean you just giveup the shotgun, they deserved to die.

I've said it before on here and I'll say it again.
The Descent. To me it just never gets enough love. The claustrophobic setting mixed with the semi helplessness of an all female cast make it very tense.

I watched Evil Dead (2013) Saturday.....was disappointed. Cool effects and stuff, but the storyline and acting were piss poor.

The Descent is pretty well lauded around here. Very good flick.

That movie was borderline terrible. I had such high expectations of what it would be, but it was really disappointing.
Good call on whomever said House of the Devil. That was a cool, creepy movie that threw it back to older horror movies where what you don't see is much scarier than what you do. Very eerie movie.
