Termites in my maple tree

I have termites in my maple tree. Two holes in what looks to be a very healthy tree. In the holes are termites. The holes go in and down. What can I use to kill them?

Get a cardboard box and cut it into a few pieces. Put the pieces near the hole. Wait a little while and they will infiltrate the cardboard. Pick the pieces up and light them on fire.

Termidor in and around the holes would work best. You would probably need a friend in the pest control business to get it though.

It's been awhile since I've done one, but you you need to find a local company with a foaming setup and that has treated trees before.
You drill holes along the base of the trunk on 4 sides (3/8 or 1/2), almost like a n,s,e,w pattern. Then you do 3-5 more in a spiral around the tree until about 4 - 5 ft high. After that you mix termite chemical with a foaming agent and pump the tree with foam. Older trees will have large voids inside that fill up with foam. I'd recommend termidor so that the termites share it around with each other. Afterwards small plugs get hammered unto the holes and a few years later the bark grows over them.
If the tree has exposed roots you lightly trench around them and use chemical like you would along the slab of a house.
You can probably find someone to do this for less than $200. It'll take very little chemical because you're mixing it with foam. Mainly it'll take finding someone with the right equipment and an hour of time.

The last guy who did my house used Termidor but told me Dominion was very good too. A lot less expensive.

today the Termidor was $140 and the other was $110 per bottle. Each bottle mixes into five gallons covers 60 feet of trenching.
If I went this route for my house, I have 130 of trenching feet and 90 feet of slab with the termites caps. Also have two bath tubs that require 4 gallons poured behind each tub via the termite cut outs in the wall.
Then there is the tree. One bottle of this stuff or a few cans of the spray foam. $50 each.

Damn at the mark up. I can make 100 gallons of termidor for about $260ish.

I don't think termites will eat live wood, will they? If they're there, they must just be eating some dead wood.

Not sure. The maple looks healthy but I guess it could be rotting fromt the inside out. The colony is most likely under ground

I would personally just find some general bug killer mix at the store, mix it up in a garden sprayer, and douche the shite out of the hole that you see termites coming out of...either they die from the insecticide or drown from the liquid...

I tried that last year when I first noticed this problem. I dumped some shite down that hole. It worked, so I thought but this year it got worse.
I just ordered 80 ounces online for total of 148 bucks. The store here in town for 80 ounces would have cost me 750 bucks.
