Have a family member looking for an apartment in NO for 3 months. She prefers the uptown area. We are searching the traditional sources. Any OTers know any good spots? Older couple.

TIA

Traditional source CL is where I would start. You can find the names and numbers of a few leasing companies on there. I would call them up and give them the dates you are looking to rent. They normally have a few properties and can tell you what's coming available.

Or you could just live in a tent under the overpass with the piss and bums.

Thanks. The tent idea probably will not work for this trip.

The woman of the couple is the one selecting the place. She will also be there more than her husband.

Look up "French Fountains" and contact them. The lady that owns it rents out houses and doubles for short term use.
Most of her stuff is in Riverbend, but that is a really nice area to use as a home base in the city.

Her name is Michele, I would have to look up her number, but that is her fountain place on Short st.

CL is where I looked. Didn't find anything price wise that I liked, so I bought a house off of Bonnabel in Metairie. Can be to St Charles without traffic in 5 minutes

Why people recommend this place is baffling. Terrible management and nickel & dime gimmicks

How so?

The Saulet is a nice place, good location and a nice swimming pool area.

I wouldn't want to live at the Saulet long term, but for a few months, it would be OK. It's devoid of New Orleans charm & character, but it's conveniently located.
