I have tried Dr. Martens, Wolverine, Irish Settler.

I'm going check out a Red Wing outlet. Price is not an issue I'm looking for a 6" laced with steel toe.

I have a pair of Ariat's that are incredible.

I don't use them everyday, but I have used them a lot at times, and I love them.

I got a pair of red wing steel toes. They are heavy and get heavier as the day goes along. But the new ones use some sort of synthetic "steel" toe that isn't as heavy and doesn't get cold in the winter.

FWIW I just got my red wings resoled at the red wing store. That's how much I like them.

I wear Thorogood Work Boots. They are the most comfortable work footwear (and some of the most comfortable footwear period) I've ever had.

Price isn't bad, either, and they have extra wides.

Depends on what you really need in a work boot, I know typically that people associate steel toes as a requirement for a work boot but I prefer waterproof and lightweight for mine. i am on my feet all day, deal with water a lot and walk about 5 to 10 miles a day on average working.

I have worn Danners and Irish Setters lately, the Irish Setters have been good wearing boots. Wolverines, IMO, have become a piece of shite joke of a boot the past ten years. Georgia Boot Company makes a good boot.

What do you need them for, and if price is not an issue, look at White's and Wesco.

Eta: If anyone wants to disagree with those two, they are fricking retarded

I need them to be waterproof. I don't walk but maybe 1/2 mile a day in them on must days but some can be up to 2 miles.

I have chronic ingrown toenails so something that would help there would be nice.

If you want to drop the coin, those are the best work boots money can buy. Fully customizable in any way. Call and explain your problem, and they'll set you up

I have a pair of Red Wing loggers boots that have held up for a few hundred miles, but that is in the woods and you would know if you needed those.

Those two companies will either send you a template to measure your foot, or tell you what measurements to take and will custom make them specifically for your foot. They make a mold, and keep your foot mold on record until you change it, or die

My logger boots weigh exactly 5lbs a piece, and most people couldn't stand walking around with that on their feet. Get a composite toe because they are much lighter
