Is having DSL Internet in 2014 equivalent to having dial up in 2007?

Yes. It's terrible. If it would maintain a steady speed, it wouldn't be so bad.
I use a Verizon 4G hotspot most of the time though. Been trying to get Cox to run a line back to my house.

i have a dsl wireless modem with ATT. We are actually being forced to upgrade to U-Verse this year because they are doing away with DSL altogether. HOlding out for as long as i can
it works fine to stream netflix, so i'm happy

That's what weird on mine. Netflix works fine... everything else, like loading GIF's and youtube. Nope.

i have dsl, and they told me they were phasing it out and everybody will be hooked in to uverse.

I don't torrent, so it's good enough for me. I just wish the shitty AT&T modem wouldn't keep resetting.

Same, I don't download anything. I used to play NCAA Football on the PS3 and that was probably my biggest issue.
The only thing that my internet frustrates me with is that I can't watch Justin.tv or stream other movies/tv shows online.

I have AT&T uverse dsl. Its a 6mb connection, so its fine when you're doing one thing, but when the kids are on YouTube, the wife is on pinterest and I'm trying to game, it breaks down and stutters terribly. Can't wait for fiber to get here.
