My wife thinks I'm nuts to do it and I think it's perfectly fine. I mean if the shoe is discontinued and not available anymore and I know I like it...all the while someone else bought it years ago and never really wore them...why the frick not swap them some cash for something of value to me? I think women just like to collect shoe boxes, and a pair of shoes without them must be burned or something.

You can only frick one of them. However you can either frick the one you agree with, or the one you don't.

Probably would be fine if they were only worn a few times. Once they are broken in I would not touch them. I suspect that could end up being really bad for your feet.

I wouldn't buy them without photos. I'm talking about mint condition shoes without a box. Typical ebay type stuff...they've been in a closet for 5 years or so, damn near never used.

A know a lot of people who buy "pre owned" shoes on ebay and at thrift stores. As long as they aren't beat to hell, who careS?

Buying used shoes is like buying a used mattress. Don't know what's been in there IMO.

I search for the original Birkenstock shoes, not the Footprints line that come without the toe bar and full sides. They're effectively casual dress shoes with the actual cork footbed from the sandals. Great arch support.

They've been described as mailman shoes. I'm a scientist though, so I wear them with black socks and shorts. Knocks the ladies out.

Never bought used shoes, but shoes are something that get worn in pretty easily so I'd rather buy new. Plus I have a bad ankle.

I buy used clothes on the reg though. Poor lyfe.

Things just seem to be made cheaper and cheaper. The shoe I'm looking at was $215 when they sold them new...it's like they thought no one wants a $215 shoe so we'll make $145 shoes now. I don't want the $145 shoe, it falls the frick apart.
