Where is he projected to go in the upcoming MLB draft. Dude has more HRs than most teams do combined and did it against SEC competition.

I don't see him in any mock drafts. Is he a 2nd-3rd round guy? I figured he might be shooting up the draft boards because the past 2-3 years have been devoid of college bats. He could be a steal for a team.

Does he project more as a hitter or pitcher?

Definitely a hitter. He ain't bad as a pitcher, but only has a fastball and no secondary pitch. He doesn't strike out many people at all, which means he doesn't project well at all at the next level on the mound.

20 HRs with these bats is pretty incredible. Still has a lot of ball to go too. That's pretty close to Kris Bryant production, against better talent.

I haven't seen him saying he's definitely coming back. If he does, I don't know that that is a very good move for him. Seniors in college are kind of fricked, as they're expected to move VERY quickly once drafted and thus have far less room for error or development.

i saw something last week where he was 19th or 20th among college prospects. Prob late 1st/ 2nd round pick i would guess. Not sure why he isnt projected higher

I mean, I've seen guys have Mike Papi from UVA projected higher than him. Derek Fisher, I can kind of understand, though I see him as overhyped.

I guess it could be due to Reed being stuck at 1B. For some reason they're all over Kyle Schwarber who's had worse production against inferior competition. Maybe it's a bat speed thing, as I haven't seen either play all too much. However, I did see Reed knock one over the batter's eye in CF at Tenn last night. (>415 ft)

The ball he hit last night in the televised game against Tennessee was the biggest bomb I've seen with a bbcor bat.

and his only knock is hitting a curveball...he has improved on that a good bit this year but still a concern

True, but the man has been fed almost exclusively breaking balls at the beginning of the year and he crushed them.

I mean, he'll never be a .300 hitter at any upper pro level, but he'll mash and get on base.

The jump he made from last season to this one has been impressive. If you asked me then who would've been the better player on UK's roster this season, I probably would've said Cousino.

If he can hit with that bat, he can hit with wood.
That one he mashed last night was impressive, that was a pretty decent pitch he hit. And he doesn't have the build that would suggest any type of performance enhancers but so did Braun.

Reed has 20 hr most in conf play
LSU has 22 all year

I would never have predicted one player at UK would outhomer an entire LSU roster
