I decided to watch an episode of VICE this last sunday.

I have since watched the entire first season and half of the second. It's an incredible show.

For those who don't know, it's a tv series documentary where journalists use immersionist film making. I've learned more about the world and topics that interest me in 12 episodes then I ever have watching fox or cnn.

it's not bad, but the vice content that's on their website and youtube is much better imo

watch the Vice Guide to travel series, they go to Liberia, and North Korea, and Karachi and some other scary places

Big fan. Great show. I agree the online stuff is better. The HBO series really needs to be an hour long.

Love the show, but like others said it could be longer.

I wish I had skipped the episode on rhino poaching, that was pretty gruesome.

Its good. Most of the stories are politically slanted towards the left, but they are very well done.

Hard to get a grip on the issue during the 15 minutes they devote

I am a big VICE fan...but, I have to echo the sentiments that their YouTube channel/articles are better content than what they put on HBO.

The hbo show is liberally spun because bill maher is a doosh. The YouTube channel and netflix series were much better imo

I like the show but the 15 minute segments are way too short.

The YouTube docs are legit. Haven't started watching the S2 just yet.

Left leaning or not, nobody can deny that Bill Maher and Shane Smith are two smart, talented guys. Their counterparts on the right are much, much more biased and unrealistic.

I enjoy it and yes it should be longer each episode.

Spoiler from last week (not sure if needed)

I had no idea the marijuana businesses in Colorado were all cash businesses. It was crazy seeing the security in transporting the cash and what not involved. Pretty interesting.

Huge fan and I do keep up with them weekly. Damn good journalism. These guys are unique solely because they can show their faces that any other network "journalist" couldn't. Never understood how they never get killed going to the places they go to.

Great documentary show for anyone who isn't familiar with it!
