I just saw that the one that's been here since I've been around is closing.

:(

Do not like this. I love their mac & cheese.

Yeah, it's weird but in Lake Charles, we don't get all the places y'all have over in BR.

I ate at the Piccadillys on Essen last night.

Delicious. Roast Beef cooked to a perfect medium.

Heard the one in Houma is closing as well. Use to be a staple. That fried chicken!

The rectangle shaped codfish filet is my go-to dish when I visit a Piccadilly.

It's unfortunate that most of their bread sucks now, especially the rolls.

Used to be homemade. Not anymore.

Also, Essen Piccadillys used to make homemade chicken fried steak that could rival a Tejas restaurant. Not anymore.

But their Roast Beef, when cooked just right ... winner.

we had to eat Piccadilly before our Soccer games at PBS.

I don't know if its the food or some of the people that dined in but I hated Piccadilly

I haven't been there in years but I find myself feeling sad that it's closing. I used to love their fried fish.

Guillot was my high school coach 40 years ago.

Piccadilly is a shell of what it once was but I still go from time to time. They like their salt. I like the hamburger steak and black eye peas. Used to have the best étouffée around.

Maybe all is not lost la_birdman

KPLC has learned from an unidentified worker at the restaurant that they are leaving the mall but are expected to reopen on Ryan Street.

So they close the Ryan street location for two years? then reopen?

F'ing this! Those were always my go-tos. I have not been to a piccadilly since the mid-90s, but I have fond childhood memories of eating there.
