Milkfish quick lunch review

Popped into Milkfish on Carrollton for lunch. Was surprised to see it basically empty considering all the press it has received. Decor is dark and funky. Probably looks better at night. Some sort of Asian soft rock music played in the background. Admittedly I ordered conservatively but was underwhelmed. Pork eggrolls turned out to be tiny thin eggrolls, the size of cigarrettes. Taste was ok though. I had Chicken Pancit for entree, which was very similar to Pad Thai but with more vegetables and a citrus flavor. Nice taste and plenty of noodles but only got two little skewers of thigh meat chicken with it. For $14, they should really give you more chicken or drop the price to $9-10. I will give it another chance and try the more exotic fare next time, but I was not impressed for the money.
