Poppy (my grandpa) is fighting for his life.
Been in ICU for a week. I have been here with him the whole time. WW 2 vet and Korea.

May the good lord give me strength to make the right decisions for him.

prayers sent. I remember standing by my grandfather and grandmother ( like a mom to me) and telling them both it was ok for them to go. Hardest thing ever but I did not want to see them suffer.

May God grant you wisdom

Prays sent. It's going to be hard on your family, but at his age, it is going to be rough to recover. I was at bedside for a few love ones and knew there time has come to a end here on earth. I prayed to God that the Good Lord would take away all there pain and to welcome them to heaven.

Love ones that has passed away stay alive within us as long as you remember them.

Praying for you and for your grandfather that whatever God has planned for him happens so you don't have to make as many hard decisions.

I bet he is more worried about you worrying about him. Those WW2 and Korea vets are/were fearless.
Thank him for his service and prayer on way.

Good luck to you. Both of my parents died while I was with them. Very tough, but it was such a relief to be there and be able to say goodbye.

Prayers for you and yours. It is times like this that test our selfishness. We never want them to go, but it's usually b/c we don't want to feel the pain of loss. I lost a grandparent not long ago, but it was hard to shed a tear over it. They lived to be over 90 years old. I saw it as a blessing to have them that long and was ok with knowing they were no longer in pain, and that their hearing and eyesight would be restored to take in all the wonders of Heaven. You grandpa probably has a line of old war buddies waiting to pour him a cold beer and shoot the breeze.

Prayers sent buddy, I've lost all of my grandparents, last one in 2003. Like Fish said, they'll live on in our memories. Praying for the Lords compassionate hand for you and your family.

My grand father was there also, and is currently in the hospital too. Tough men from that era, they're fighters. Prayers sent
