News. #LSU RT @DMoutonWWL: Reports from Arizona say former LSU Defensive End Jordan Allen has transferred to the University of Arizona.

Also, former LSU QB Jerrard Randall is also at Arizona.

Good fit for him. Hope he does well.

Will the real reason why ever be revealed? Sure seems a bit odd and personal.

"I was just ready for a fresh start; something different," Allen told the Star today. "I wanted to find a place where I could come in and help the team and ultimately help them win a championship. Arizona seems like the perfect spot to do that."
Allen is a natural defensive end, but could also play some on the inside for the Wildcats, who are desperately searching for a nose tackle.
Originally from West Monroe, La., Allen visited Arizona earlier this month and said he felt comfortable from the start. He said he chose Arizona over TCU.
"There's a lot to love about Arizona," Allen said. "The place is awesome. Not just the city of Tucson, but the overall campus is amazing. I really liked how the university is very athlete oriented. They really care about their players there and give them every resource they need.
"I'm hoping it will be a good fit."

Too bad it didn't work out for him in BR. Best of luck to him.

Zona will be good for him. I think he'll make an impact right away for them.

Sounds like he's hating on LSU a tad. What he doesn't understand is LSU will field the cream of the crop.
He was good, but obviously he didn't feel he was good enough to get ample playing time.

Gonna start probably too. I read somewhere Miles was too hard on him, yelled mean things that hurt his feelings. Good place for him to go though, Arizona is a program on the upswing.

I'd be very surprised if he didn't start right away.

I had a conversation with Jordans's Mom last week regarding his transfer. Let's just say she's NOT a fan of Les Miles!

he might harbor some resentment but i don't begrudge him that. he's young and has a great opportunity in AZ. time and perspective he'll be okay. i'll be watching some AZ games this year - hope he does well.

Well, if they were happy he would not be at zona. Adam Mconathy anyone?
Posted on 4/29/14 at 8:55 pm to Pac10bites
Why because he got beat out by a better player. This ain't little leauge. He would've had plenty of playing time if he had stuck around.

Good luck to him. Most kids can't start at LSU...no shame in that.
