Never fallen, but I've jumped plenty of times. We were sailing around the bay at Panama City a couple summers ago, and coming up on a beach area. Boat was going too fast, and there were people around, and I had to pee. Just dove in so I didn't have to hang it off the side and scare people at the sight.

And leaving the same beach, our anchor line got tangled in another boats way too long anchor line, and we were being yanked around and about to hit another boat. Dove in, freed up the line, and pushed off the other boat so we didn't hit it.

I did see a guy take a spill off of a deep sea charter one time though. He was climbing around the side to get up front and sit on the bow for a ride to the next fishing spot, and his hand slipped on the railing and he fell in. We had to go back and pick him up. He's lucky he fell the way he did and didn't get caught up in the side of the boat.

Never a motor boat. Once in a canoe on a river.

Never in a raft.

Weird.

A bunch of times at toleda from those damn stumps.

Scariest one was at a floater at night. Had an 8ft bull swimming around the boat earlier and needless to say I walked on water getting to the transom

I fished lake decade about 6 years ago when it was 32 outside. My younger brother had just started dipping. The buzz hit him right when i told him to hurry and drop the anchor and he went in with it. Funniest shite ever. I had a propane heater on board and everyone had enough extra clothes so all was well.

Duck hunting one of the coldest days down in Regio. We broke ice to put decoys out that morning.

Once we got back to the landing, wind was kicking and one of the pirogues floated in front the boat and I didn't see it. Dropped my brother at the launch and took off which flipped me out the boat. So, yes, I went for a swim.

I've never really thought about it.

There aren't too many people who have more time/years in small boats than me, but not once have I ever fallen overboard.

I've probably just jinxed myself.

Duck hunting

Flipped a boat on a stump in Felsenthal NWR in Arkie wearing waders, no kill switch, and no life jacket. On the top 10 list of dumb shite I have accomplished in my life.

When I flipped, I was in that shape. Was only 14 at the time.

Another trip we went for a swim duck hunting was three of us in a 13' Boston whaler with a 20hp on the back. Running the Chef pass at 3:30am and a hard northerner was blasting thru. Very choppy with the wind coming out the north and the tide was ripping in. Motor died and before we knew it, the boat flipped over.

We lost everything and even a dog. We spent 3 hours in the water holding on to the boat till someone saw us. God was looking over us that morning. Was 15 years old at the time.

After that trip, my Dad said no more and he got back into duck hunting again.

Red River, water temp ~36deg. Dad and I got stuck on a stump so i tried to push off another stump with my foot.

The Stump was rotted out, i went splash. Dad just laughed.

ETA - the very next day i was standing on a seawall fishing, slipped, went splash again.

Yes. I hooked a stickup with a spinner bait at Caney a few years ago. I just bought the lure that day, and for some reason put the included trailer hook on, even though I'd never use trailers before. When we trolled up to the stickup, I could see the lure about a foot under. I try to get it with the tip of my rod but can't, so I reach to grab it while we troll by. I grab the trailer hook, the spinner bait stays attached to the stickup, and my friend working the trolling motor keeps going away from the stickup. I get pulled into the water by a hook through my thumb . Luckily it was hot and I'm a good swimmer

Twice

When I was a kid I went paddling around the camp in an air raft, when I was ready to get out I went on the side of my dad's boat and tried to jump in, raft flew out from under me, but I caught the side of the boat, so I started kicking in the water to try and propel myself up, it wasn't working so I started to panic, right about that time my mom comes out and finds me, she yells, "Just stand up couillion!" I was in knee deep of water
finally got out of the water and my feet had been sliced to shreds by oyster shells

When I was about 20, we had a guys weekend at the camp, me and my brother were the last to show up, I'm standing on the bow waiting to tie up the boat, brother goes to put the boat in reverse(tiller), but it popped out or something right when he throttled, threw us straight into the wharf, I went flying over the rail and landed right in front of about 10 drunk a-holes
was a rough afternoon after that

Once at the camp when i was younger, knew I was going in, immediately went to go grab the piling, barnacles f'ed my legs up that day. Had some pretty gnarly cuts on the inside of my legs.

A whole lot

I've at least almost fallen out every time I've gone in my life. I fish with my feet on the very edge of the boat usually and falling out is a completely normal occurrence for me.

yes. In March. It was frickin cold. I am much much more careful in the winter now when tying up to things. It was tough to get back in the boat with all the winter clothes on and the inflateable life jacket. We ended up fishing the spot we were in for 45 minutes before I ran back to the truck and changed into my spare clothes.

Back in the early 90s we had a camp on Belle River. My uncles built a 2 story party barge with no railings on the bottom story that I used to have to drive on their "midnight cruises". I can't count how many times those old frickers fell in drunk as shite.
Two of the funniest I remember was my youngest uncle falling off the top story after hanging over trying to piss from the top. All we saw was a flash falling and a splash.
Top one was their buddy Big Dave. Big Dave was every bit of 6'10" and pretty sturdy, a big big ole boy. He walked past me at the helm to go piss off the back of the pontoon and just kept on walking was funny as shite seeing him one second and he just disappeared with barely a splash the next
