His mother was deaf.
He joined a foster home at 4
He was eventually adopted out by maybe grandparents or some crap
Joined the bloods or something at an extrmely young age like 9 or 10.
Brother was shot young
He kind of got out the gang scene started playing football
was taken in by a friends parents
All she wrote from there, very energetic almost goofy kind of kid. Talked about his knee injury and stuff. Honestly, his medical issues may not be the end of the world but i didn't come away from it feeling very good about his knee.

ALso did a piece on Pierre Desir... I'd draft this kid in a heartbeat. Hard worker, has a family already, business like approach, got good size and athletic ability.

I really hope we draft Lee. He's the second best WR in the draft behind Watkins

I'm praying we don't take this guy. He's got bust written all over him. Either by injury, or just ability; I don't ever see him making a huge impact for a team. He's not close to being the best USC WR since Keyshawn to come out, and we've see how all of those guys turned out. Fair or not, I'll never put stock into any USC player until one of them has an above average career.

How many NFL snaps have you seen this guy play?
Also, could you provide a link, please? Thanks man.

Facing adversity and overcoming it is usually a sign of strong character. By this story, I like Lee and think he could be a dedicated and reliable player.

This. The guy had every opportunity to do nothing with his life. He proactively went out and made himself out of nothing by playing football and getting away from the gang scene.

I've seen the broadcast. Pierre is a great guy, but Lee seems to have the same, if not better character.

Same amount as any other player that is being discussed in the draft. I guess all of them will be superstars though, right?

or busts by your account. how do you come to the conclusion that this guy will be a bust other than he hails from USC? I'm guessing you don't hold that same standard to LSU players

For one, he's already had injury problems. Two, he was very inconsistent in college. Does he make plays here and there, yes. But he doesn't have the best hands in the world. I just don't buy into him on the whole. Sorry I'm not on the same bandwagon as you, but I'd much rather us draft someone else. Hope he has a great career, but I'll be a naysayer til I see it happen.

I don't. Only USC and Notre Dame players.

I saw the clip on him, and it was a really good story.

My only issue is that we've seen other athletes with these checkered pasts that catch up to them like Desean Jackson or Aarron Hernandez. Not saying Lee is like any of these guys, it just raised a red flag.

Plenty of USC players have been good. Hell, a couple of the best LBs in the league right now are USC players.

Only fans look at a players school and think that means bust. Teams don't think like that.

i can't really quantify why but i do get a sense of maybe some "bust" potential with lee as well. Maybe not a bust but maybe just not become elite.

Not sure that's totally true. In the early 90s, Florida WRs were in high demand in the draft, then didn't pan out and started dropping in the draft. Same recently w/ USC QBs. I think you will start to see similar with bama offensive lineman.

I don't think teams put a premium on this, but I think they look at system and past players to a small extent.

There's a difference between looking at a system and it not working in the NFL and saying "All players from this school are busts"

knee and shoulder injuries. I can tell you a whole lot of college receivers to have injuries, but still have a great NFL career.

He had a 12% drop rate last year, 7% in his monster year, and even less than that in his rookie. Looking at the drops, its something that is coachable as well. Inconsistent in yards last year? A horrible QB/coaching situation. If he didn't miss 3 games and average what he did all year, he'd hit the 1k mark and people would be high on him still.

Really? Lets look at the top 3 rounds in the last few years

2009, 1st round 3rd overall pick - Tyson Jackson
2010, 3rd round 76th overall pick - Chad Jones
2010, 3rd round 76th overall pick - Brandon LaFell
2011, 1st round 5th overall pick - Patrick Peterson
2011, 3rd round 68th overall pick - Kelvin Sheppard
2011, 3rd round 73rd overall pick - Stevan Ridley
2011, 3rd round 87th overall pick - Drake Nevis
2011, 3rd round 92nd overall pick - Joseph Barksdale
2012, 1st round 6th overall pick - Morris Claiborne
2012, 1st round 14th overall pick - Michael Brockers
2012, 2nd round 63rd overall pick - Rueben Randle
2012, 3rd round 73rd overall pick - Brandon Taylor
2013, 1st round 6th overall pick - Barkevious Mingo
2013, 1st round 18th overall pick - Eric Reid
2013, 2nd round 45th overall pick - Kevin Minter
2013, 3rd round 67th overall pick - Bennie Logan
2013, 3rd round 69th overall pick - Tyrann Mathieu
2013, 3rd round 95th overall pick - Sam Montgomery

Few overachievers, but mostly average. Same crap applies to both programs.

In your final show the NFL your stuff year this is terrible no matter the reasons.

The only thing that makes me not want the guy in the first is his lack of great hands. You just can't catch that many balls with your body and be a stud in the NFL.
And with Brees and the way he targets his WR's with back shoulder throws etc. its a must have skill on this team.

I miss Curtis Johnson. What he did to Devery Henderson is a small miracle in my book.
