SEC FB sked: starting in 2016, each SEC school must have at least one game annually vs ACC, Big 12, Big Ten or Pac-12 team.

So the race is on to see who can schedule Wake Forest, Virginia and Duke first?

Sounds right...

The bigger news is that they're sticking to the same league schedule format. 8 games, 1 permanent opponent, 1 rotating.

Needs to go to 9 SEC games and one team from those conferences. Sick of the 3 crappy games a year.

yep. Permanent opponents are here to stay.

The permanent non-division opponents are as listed below:

• Alabama (west) vs. Tennessee (east)

• Auburn (west) vs. Georgia (east)
• LSU (west) vs. Florida (east)
• Ole Miss (west) vs. Vanderbilt (east)
• Mississippi State (west) vs. Kentucky (east)
• Texas A&M (west) vs. South Carolina (east)

Did anyone actually expect UA,AU,UGA & Tenn to breakup the rivalries?

Also....

Wonder what this part means for LSU? Florida is not going to play us the last week of the season. They will play Fla St.

The decision to maintain a permanent non-division opponent also presents other advantages:

• Creates annual cross-division rivalries that otherwise would not be annual games

Provides each team with a traditional opponent for the final weekend of the season

Hope our fans enjoyed that trip to Georgia. It will be another 15 years before we go back.

LSU will play aTm in the last week of every season (they replace Arky starting this season)

that's supposed to be our big rival now... or something

That's fricking ridiculous. I hate the 8 game schedule and the permanent opponents for this reason. I don't really give a shite about how fair it is or isn't. But a kid could play his whole 4 years and college and not even get to play every team in his conference. It's fricking bullshite.
