At what point do the Hollywood celebrities stop drinking the kool aid?

I just find it odd that Rob Lowe who used to be a big liberal in Hollywood as started actually thinking for himself and not the way his fellow actors do when it comes to politics

Never.
Hollywood celebrities would never be able to find work in their field if they were to start putting down the kosher kool aid. Remember Mel Gibson?
The ADL and GLAAD make them pass a kosher test before they can get the opportunity to be on the big screen, and that's just the way it goes in the US entertainment industry.

Funny how if someone disagrees with us, they're drinking koolaid. If they agree with us, they're thinking for themselves. It's possible to examine facts and rationally arrive at another conclusion without being deluded. Reasonable people can have differing opinions.

You can add Robert Downey Jr to that list. He just doesn't speak about it with him making 100s of millions now. He had some quote about being a liberal until he spent time in jail and couldn't remain a liberal after that.

In Hollywood its more about mixing and distributing the kool aid rather than drinking it themselves.
When one of these limo libs insists the workers on their next film make the same as the star I will believe they aren't as fake as their chosen profession.

I definitely don't choose my friends based on politics. I think thats strange actually. I know many hardcore lefties and righties, and it doesn't affect our friendship at all.
