Fellas, I need a little help if it's not too much trouble. I've been ordering gifts for my mom for Mother's Day, and I was thinking about getting her a few PC games. She really enjoys point and click mystery games like Myst, 7th Guest, etc. They're easy and she's not a hardcore gamer.

I realize this isn't exactly the most popular genre on the GB, but I figured at least one you may have some ideas. I'm looking for games that have come out in the last five years or so... I've ordered Drawn: Painted Tower, looking for one or two more. Thanks!

ETA-She doesn't do Steam, so disks will be required.

They're easy
I don't know about "The 7th Guest" but I wouldn't describe the original "Myst" as easy. Sure, you're not going to get shot in the head by a sniper, but some of those puzzles were really challenging if you weren't using any sort of guide.

Regardless, I know you said PC and disc-based but if she has an iPad, you should show her The Room. It's all touch driven, has some very fun puzzles, and definitely gave me a Myst / 7th Guest vibe while playing it.

I haven't played this one myself, but I've also heard The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief is good.

And like The Dude said, I've heard good things about "Titanic: Adventure Out of Time."

I'm definitely going to set up an account for her when I'm there next time. Thanks again.

Miasmata is a pretty nice adventure game. Only a few years old too.
