Will the NCAA give LSU and ULL top 8 seeds?

I know the NCAA doesn't "give" seeds out and that it depends on rankings but would they want to have two SR's that close together?

While not as close as LSU and ULL, I would venture to guess Gainesville and Tallahassee may have both hosted.

why not?
Because of the geographical bullshite they've been doing since about 2001.

I don't think Ull gets a top 8

What is the capacity of USL's stadium?

"Louisiana duo in Omaha?
Asked if he looks at LSU’s RPI, Mainieri smiled.
“Only about every two hours,” he said laughing. “It’s my life.”
LSU entered this week with an official NCAA RPI of 13. Louisiana-Lafayette was 14th.
The NCAA selection committee relies on the RPI when choosing and seeding teams.
For now, both teams are projected to host NCAA regionals in NCAA tournament projections released this week from Perfect Game, Baseball America and College Baseball Daily.
In all of those projections, UL-Lafayette (37-5) is predicted to receive a top-8 national seed and host a super regional. LSU is projected as a national seed in just one projection.
Perfect Game has UL-Lafayette and LSU paired to meet in a super regional in Lafayette.
Mainieri hopes that doesn’t happen.
“I hope we don’t have to meet each other in the regional, super regional. I’d like to see both of us to get to Omaha,” the coach said Wednesday. “If it happens, it happens. We can’t control that.”
College Baseball Daily has LSU as a national seed, and Baseball America has the Tigers on the bubble to receive one of the top eight seeds.
LSU has 14 games remaining, including four SEC conference series. The Tigers are two wins behind SEC West and overall leader Alabama.
“If we win the SEC or even win the SEC West with over 40 wins, it would be hard for me to believe we won’t be a national seed,” Mainieri said, “but who knows?”

Sure if they are both deserving.
Georgia and Georgia Tech have both gotten national seeds in the same year before.

2013 - Oregon and Oregon St. were national seeds
2012 - Florida and FSU were national seeds
2011 - Florida and FSU and Texas and Rice were national seeds
2009 - UC Irvine and Fullerton were national seeds
2008 - FSU and Miami were national seeds
2006 - Georgia and Ga. Tech and Rice and Texas were national seeds
2004 - Texas and Rice were national seeds
2003 - FSU and Miami and Stanford and Fullerton were national seeds
2002 - Rice and Texas and Clemson and South Carolina were national seeds
2001 - USC, Stanford and Fullerton were national seeds
2000 - Clemson and South Carolina were national seeds
1999 - Miami and FSU and Baylor, Texas A&M and Rice were national seeds
If both teams earn it, I can definitely see both the Tigers and Cajuns being top 8 seeds.

ULL wont get a national seed, their RPI only stands to drop win or lose

If hosting a SR, especially if LSU was involved, would they be able to bring in extra seating? I'm not familiar with the ULL ballpark.

I would think they'd have to. You realize how much money they stand to lose if they don't?

it's a nice place. it's not close to being alex box by no means but, on a pretty day like today, i'd love to be out there smelling the bbq smoke and drinking an ice cold beer. i'm fairly certain that they would bring in some sort of seating if they were to host. everything is centered around the kids over there. free this and free that if you know what I mean. I wish they gave my little boy free beer, I would have really been tickled to death.

Neither gets a super if they don't win the regional first.

Woah, don't go too far out on a limb.

The selection committee don't give a rats arse about total seating when picking national seeds and haven't since 1998. LSU has to sweep 2 of the 4 remaining SEC teams on their schedule and win the other 2 series. Possibly win a couple games in the SECT which I believe by winning the west gets them to the final game to assure them a top 8 RPI. That's if the teams with higher RPI rankings ahead of them don't totally collapse.
