Will Anthony Jennings ever top his 2013 Arkansas performance?

As a true freshman he led a 99 yard game winning drive. Now as a sophomore and presumably the rest of his career it will be a battle just to get on the field. My question is, do you think we have seen the best of Anthony Jennings?

I have seen something like this before with LSU qb's.... RP was the qb for the 2007 sec title game and all thought he was THE shite....

Then JJ played lights out in the Peach Bowl and we all the HE was the next great thing....

I hope Jennings fares better than those two.....

we pretty much lose a quarterback at some point every year to injure...even if AJ is not our normal starter, he will take many snaps over the next few years...

he did a fine job in that arkansas game and will become a heck of a quarterback, as long as we don't place unrealistic expectations on him as a result of that performance....

I mean that is a completely different issue. if he hadn't been such a giant dick maybe he would have been the shite.

I mean he played well, but I guess our definition of lights out is different

IMHO, yes.

I hate it because I expected great things from him, but Brandon has a better arm, better pocket presence, and has a much higher ceiling than Anthony.

That's physically, mentally Brandon is in another league than Anthony. He has the confidence and a winners mentality. Anthony just doesn't seem sure of himself.

How so??? RP played a few snaps during the season and then was voted [MVP] of the SEC title game and the fans were craving the 2008 season on how GREAT LSU'S offense was going to be....

ALL people were talking about after THAT game and for the upcoming season was how we were gonna have a GREAT OFFENSE because of how JJ played in the Bowl game....

Why? Cause spring scrimmages always tell us who the fall starters will be?

Hard to top a 99 yd game winning TD drive, but I wouldn't be all that shocked to see AJ QB'ing LSU to more TDs.

Honestly, what are you basing this on? Jennings does about as impressive an interview I have seen in a young qb

his off the field issues have nothing to do with his on the field play. he was the shite. he's jameis winston with more talent (and more problems). if he doesn't get kicked off, we've got at least another BCSCG.

Sure it is.... RP was gonna take over For Flynn the next year and EVERYBODY was WOWED by his SECCG performance... The Same thing happened after JJ led the team over GA Tech in the Peach Bowl.....

Perriloux didn't regress in skill set or performance. he was kicked off the team. Not comparable.

As an aside, after JJ "wowed" us against GT, he actually went on to become a decent first year starter as a sophomore. Don't know why that's so fricking hard to remember.

Would it have been better if I'd simply answered the dumb question with the obvious "no, it is not likely that his first time in a meaningful situation on the field represented the high-point of his college career"?

Neither would I but you can't deny that Brandon Harris will be pushing for the starting spot.
