What's the vibe around here on High Fidelity? Remains one of my favorite movies after seeing it right in the wake of a breakup from a long relationship. Amazing soundtrack and tons of it rings true with relationships and growing up.
Just saw it on Encore and had to watch it through.
And Iben Hjejle (Laura)

I love it. A great post breakup movie. And an awesome Springsteen cameo.

I always feel like it gets undervalued because it usually takes a backseat to Grosse Pointe Blank in the grand scheme of Cusack things. I like it though.

Great movie, Cusack plays the whiny music snob perfectly. His performance really speaks to me because I grew up in cd stores like that. I'm sure a lot of us did.

You were watching encore too eh haha . Love this movie.

A very solid movie.
I think when you're 24-26 the middle of the movie rings clear (and the movie is mostly revered for this, incorrectly).
But now, a few years later, the end has a much bigger punch.

Love that movie. Liked most of Cusack's stuff before that, but this may be my favorite of his movies.
But Jack Black and the other music nerd steal the show. I've known some folks like that dead on.

I'm 46 and I still absolutely love this movie. It's one of those flicks that I'll watch whenever it's on.

Huh? Who thinks Grosse Point Blanke when it comes to signature Cusack movies?
I currently have High Fidelity on my Amazon queue list to re-watch. Haven't seen it since it was in theaters but recall my wife and I enjoying it.

I know a lot of people who have seen Grosse Pointe Blank but have never even seen High Fidelity.

You should change that for them. High fidelity > GPB

Love me some Better off Dead too. The Asian Howard Cosell bit is awesome.

High Fidelity is a personal fave. The scene when he imagines all the things he's gonna do to Tim Robbins ...

It's been on one of my harddrives for awhile now. I really do need to get around to watching it since I'm a big fan of Stephen Frears & John Cusack's other collaboration, The Grifters.
