Has anyone painted their garage floors?

If so, what did you use? How hard was it? did it turn out well?

Never, but I would think hard about it. Once you paint it could be a never ending cycle of touching up. If you do it, I'd use porch paint in grey.

Helped my dad do the epoxy kit stuff on his garage a few years back. Still looks good. Don't remember what brand it was.

I really don't remember. Knowing my dad, it was the most expensive one on the market

That epoxy stuff works great. I know a few people with it and has held up well over the years. Easy to clean up and looks great. If I had a garage, I'd do it no doubt.

Been kicking the idea of acid wash, stain and seal. I have a shite load of rust, glue, some paint and fiberglass on it now.

Don't waste your time with the stupid crap you can buy at the big box stores. Get this epoxy-coat.com. It is basically everything you need
I went over the concrete with a diamond stone first and then put muratic acid over that, followed by neutralizer. Then, followed the directions to a T, and it has held up perfectly. Dries quickly though, so be prepared to go to town after you mix it
ETA: You want 100% solids and for it to at least be 7 mils thick when it dries
Here is a comparison. Zoom in if you can't see it:

Use epoxy and make damn sure the surface is clean prior to application.

Every 10 years.
and throw on the flakes... 1st time I didn't, 2nd time I discovered the flakes really help hide dirt between hosing.

I've been having this commercial epoxy for three yearsw and still haven't put it on. My garage is big and full of crap.
I'm thinking maybe I can do a bay at a time.

I plan on doing half my shop floor in the epoxy.

I did an acid wash on mine and then put a seal on it. Everyone who has seen it loves it. It's pretty easy and you don't have to worry about it once it's finished except for re-sealing it every few years, which is easy.

The flakes also make it more non-skid

My loving wife did ours while I was at work with some junk from home depot, water based no less. It has been coming up in puieces ever since. Been stalling on sanding it all off and re-doing it with epoxy. Kinda lazy though its a big garage and full of shite.
