+1

I can't believe people argue that she dropped it on purpose, it's just insane

Of course she didn't, either IRL or in the movie.

But idiots will tell you she did though.

People get caught up thinking the movie is all about Dottie and her personal life. It's not IMO. It's about competition, how it becomes personal and how far you're willing to go to win. I've always thought the heart of the movie was actually Kit. Dottie came back to give Kit the shot she felt she deserved. She didn't want anything cheapened and she thought she owed it to her. Her dropping the ball on purpose cheapens everything.

Kit was a whore, frick her.

What's the point of Hanks if it is about Kit?

Dottie was the movie, it was just a big sister giving her little sister what she always wanted. Classy move by Dottie. Dottie could of took that hit.

Before clicking the link, I figured it was about Mrs. Roark. She's best friends with my grandmother and also lives next door to her. I'm surprised the article was this short, because this woman is a talker . She's also quite the sales woman. She came to one of me and my wife's wedding showers and sold about 5 of her books to people she had never met.

Of course she can't admit that. Not if she wants her sister to maintain some level of self-respect.

Either way Dottie embodied all the things you don't want in a star player. She never listened to the coach, acted like she was too good to be there, and had no commitment to the team what so ever (proven by her leaving right before the biggest games of their lives).

She was an awful teammate and an awful player to coach, it wouldn't surprise me at all if she dropped the ball on purpose because she didn't care about her team at all
