A new bill making its way through the Connecticut legislature would ban daycare centers and home childcare providers from serving whole milk or 2% milk to the kids in their care.

A longitudinal Harvard study, published in 2005, found drinking skim or 1% milk was associated with weight gain in 9- to 14-year-olds, while drinking whole or 2% milk was not. A 2013 study found the same associations for pre-schoolers.

New England legislatures are like a firehose of regulation, fees and bureaucracy that won't stop. Its citizens are drowning in it and they don't realize it and will main the status quo with their reps.
I don't think they've ever heard of the word veto up there.

I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh back in the 90's to get laughs, his Clinton years were hilarious.
But his “ cradle to the grave ” theory has become a fact.

I was thinking of the opposite, maybe actually enforcing them.

This is where I would draw the line.
Mufraluckers would have to pry my whole milk from my cold dead hands. It is the best beverage ever.

Ok so what exactly is their problem with 2% and whole milk?

Let me see if i understand this.....because 1% and skim milk lead to weight gain in 9-14 year old's compared to whole and 2% milk. The daycare centers want to ban whole and 2% milk so the kids will gain weight?

Today on the TD Poli Board, fake outrage over proposed milk laws.

This is what government sees as it's job. Government must always be passing some bill or regulating some part of our lives to be seen as needed. As long as government exists it will continue to grow larger and more intrusive by it's very nature. That's why our founding fathers gave us the 2A. It is our means of resetting the government when it finally grows tyrannical.
